"Methodocs," Methodist Hospital Physicians, Challenge Fraternal Order of Police in Charity Basketball Game

Annual event benefits Methodist Hospital Foundation

What: Physicians from the Methodist Hospital Division of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital will trade their lab coats for gym shorts when they take on members of the Fraternal Order of Police during a charity basketball game. The event is open to the public.

When: Wednesday, April 24 7 p.m.

Background: The “Methodocs,” a team of Methodist Hospital physicians representing a wide variety of specialties have been practicing their jump shots, free throws and slam dunks to prepare for this charity basketball game.

This event, an annual South Philadelphia favorite, will benefit the Methodist Hospital Foundation. The Foundation provides grants to South Philadelphia-based community healthcare programs.
