Visit this page periodically to keep up with the construction progress as Methodist Hospital expands to best meet the health-care needs of South Philadelphia.

Emergency Department:

• On August 20, the Methodist Emergency Room was expanded. It now has 25 patient beds.
• When completed, patients will see an improved waiting area as well as enhanced efficiency of overall care.
  
  

Medical Intensive Care Unit:

• On November 8, an expanded 12-bed medical intensive care unit was opened.

Medical-Surgical Unit:

• A new 24-bed unit is open on the sixth floor. Each room is private with a private shower.
