Oral and maxillofacial surgery is the bridge between modern dentistry and modern medicine. Although it is a specialty of dentistry, these surgeons are also a vital part of any hospital's medical team. If you sustain a facial fracture, chances are you will be treated by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. You will also be treated by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for routine removal of teeth and placement of dental implants, as well as complex facial reconstructive procedures.

Jefferson's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Dentistry gives you access to some of the premier oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the Delaware Valley. Our surgeons will explain what to expect before, during and after your procedure. We welcome questions and concerns at every stage of the process. Other areas of expertise include treatment and diagnosis of temporomandibular joint dysfunction, implantology, trauma surgery and microneurosurgery.
