Jefferson University Hospitals Drops Anchor at Philadelphia Navy Yard

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals has dropped anchor with its newest outpatient location inside the centrally-situated Philadelphia Navy Yard. Providing further access to some of Jefferson’s – and the nation’s – top specialists, along with patient-focused care and environmentally-friendly facilities, Jefferson at the Navy Yard offers a multi-specialty physician practice, a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center, and occupational health and workers’ compensation services to Delaware Valley residents. Free parking adds to the convenience.

Jefferson at the Navy Yard features:
  • Jefferson Physicians – 3 Crescent Drive, Suite 100
    Situated on the first floor of a Green-Certified (Gold Award) building, this multi-specialty practice currently includes ear, nose and throat (otolaryngology), audiology, urology, pain management and medical oncology specialists with primary care physicians coming soon.

    All nurses and medical assistants are cross-trained in each specialty to provide patients with the most efficient, standardized care. A concierge-based customer service model is practiced.The newly constructed, 10,000 square foot, LEED (Leadership Energy Environment Design) registered space is completely glass enclosed to afford plenty of natural light.  The patient-friendly design includes a spacious waiting area with free Wi-Fi access, HD TV and a “quiet section.” The office is outfitted with: the latest technology and equipment for visits and procedures, including an electronic medical records system; a state-of-the-art booth for hearing tests; and a self check-in kiosk (for patients who wish to use it). Plans are underway to include an on-site laboratory with dedicated technician.
  • Jefferson Surgical Center – 3 Crescent Drive, Suite 310This multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center provides orthopedic, pain management and general surgery services.  Specialists include those from the renowned Rothman Institute at Jefferson. The newly constructed, 15,000 square foot space is the first outpatient surgery center at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and features four operating rooms and one procedure room, fully equipped with the latest instrumentation and technology. The center also offers a welcoming reception and family waiting area, seven pre-operative bays, eight recovery room bays with added privacy, and a discharge area.  A truly “green” canopy, complete with growing grass on top to better distribute rainwater, covers patients as they are assisted to waiting vehicles.
  • Healthmark, Inc. – 1 Crescent Drive, Suite 100
    Located just across the street, Healthmark Inc. is Jefferson’s premier occupational and environmental health medicine and workers’ compensation provider. Serving employees of businesses at or near the Navy Yard, and throughout the Delaware Valley, it strives to prevent, recognize and treat occupational injury and illness. Comprehensive screenings, exams and specialty tests are offered, including medical surveillance testing for hazardous materials and drug and alcohol testing that meets Department of Transportation requirements. Exams can be coordinated at this facility or on-site at employers’ locations.

Jefferson at the Navy Yard also offers:
  • Easy access to and from Broad Street and all major highways – The Navy Yard entrance is located at the end of Broad Street, just past the sports stadiums, off the I-76 and I-95 exit ramps and a short distance from the Walt Whitman and Ben Franklin Bridges.
