Dr. Gomella Discusses Prostate Cancer Screenings on Everyday Health

Hall of fame golfer Arnold Palmer was diagnosed with and treated for prostate cancer in 1997. He has shared his experience and raised awareness of the second deadliest cancer in men in the United States to men around the world.

In an article on EverydayHealth.com, the author writes about Palmer's experience and also reaches out to Dr. Leonard Gomella, MD, chair of the Department of Urology at Jefferson, to educate readers about prostate cancer screenings.

Dr. Gomella tells Everyday Health that the PSA (prostate-specific antigen), which measures the level of PSA in the blood, is a great test but it's not perfect to detect prostate cancer.
