KYW Newsradio Interviews Dr. Ronald Myers About Colorectal Screenings
The CDC reported that 1 out of 3 Americans over the age of 50 are not up to date with their colorectal cancer screenings.
Dr. Ronald Myers, a professor in the Department of Medical Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University, chatted with KYW Newsradio on the importance of colorectal screening. He's backing a plan to have hospitals, doctor's offices and health insurance companies increase colonoscopy awareness.
"We'll actually help you to understand what the preparation is to do the test, we'll help you schedule an appointment for the colonoscopy, if you miss the appointment we'll help you reschedule," Dr. Myers tells KYW Newsradio.
