Research Conducted at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Featured on Examiner.com
The work by researchers at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson who discovered what makes a tumor grow is featured on the Philadelphia edition of Examiner.com.
"Their findings, published online in the June 1st issue of the journal Cell Cycle, discovered that cancer cells accelerate the aging of nearby connective tissue cells to cause inflammation, which ultimately provides lactate, a simple sugar, to fuel tumor growth and even metastasis," writes the author of the article.
