Jefferson's Partnership with Federation of Neighborhood Centers, the Career Support Netowrk, Featured in Philadelphia Inquirer, South Philly Review & on WHYY Radio

The Center for Urban Health, in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Jefferson, has partnered with the Federation of Neighborhood Centers to create the Career Support Network (CSN). This new program will help unemployed Philadelphia residents not only get jobs, but also keep them. A major barrier to job stability is poor physical and mental health.

Research has found that health is one of the main reasons that people lose their jobs. With the help of a $425,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the CSN will link health education, screening and treatment with job training.
