Dr. Lovett Quoted in Philadelphia Inquirer About Emergency Room Wait Times

For years, hospitals have responded to crowded emergency rooms and long waits for beds by spending money on expansion. Now, hospitals are trying to work more efficiently around the clock to improve emergency room wait times.

Emergency Medicine deputy medical director at Jefferson Dr. Paris Lovett says, "Jefferson moves patients directly into the emergency department instead of having them wait in a series of queues in the waiting room. A series of similar strategies has shortened waiting times by half" in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer.
