Dr. Squires Interviewed by WHYY Radio About HIV Prevention and Treatment

Dr. Kathleen Squires, director of Jefferson's Division of Infectious Diseases, is interviewed by WHYY Radio about her experience treating patients with HIV and AIDS over the past 30 years.

Dr. Squires explains the dramatic changes that have occurred in the treatment of HIV. Thirty years ago, physicians did not have the tools to control the virus. Today, doctors are not only able to successfully control the virus but are also able to give patients an almost normal lifespan.
