ABCNews.com Interviews Dr. Viscusi About Michael Jackson's Physician's Use of Propofol

Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's physician, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for giving Jackson a fatal dose of the powerful anesthetic drug propofol.

In an ABCNews.com interview, Dr. Eugene Viscusi, anesthesiologist at Jefferson, says, "Clearly, the drug involved is not intended to take a nap. There was nothing here that came close to reasonable practice in medicine."

Dr. Viscusi explains that some patients who seek unnecessary medication are so convincing that many new and undertrained doctors become manipulated without realizing it. He recommends honest conversations between patients and their doctors.
