Dr. Dicker Featured on WITF-TV's 'Facing Cancer Together' Series
Radiation oncologist Adam Dicker, MD, PhD, is part of a team of researchers at Jefferson that is investigating the accuracy of the cancer information found on Wikipedia versus the Physician Data Query (PDQ) on the National Cancer Institute's website.
In a WITF-TV interview, Dr. Dicker explains that Wikipedia is surprisingly accurate, despite the ability for the public to edit the information. Although the team found few errors on Wikipedia, they determined that the PDQ is more patient-friendly and easier to navigate.
