Jefferson Gastroenterologist Quoted in Everyday Health Story About Crohn's Disease
Fatigue can be both a symptom of Crohn's disease as well as a side effect of treatment. In an interview with Everyday Health, Dr. Cuckoo Choudhary, a gastroenterologist at Jefferson, shares some factors that can contribute to fatigue for people with Crohn's. These factors include blood loss, nutrient deficiency, medicine side effects and depression.
Dr. Choudhary also gives some helpful ways to fight Crohn's disease fatigue including taking a vitamin supplement, getting a colonoscopy, treating flare-ups and getting a blood test to assess anemia.
