Jefferson's Mindfulness Institute Highlighted in 6 ABC Story
While some stress can be good, too much stress can be harmful to the body and mind. The Mindfulness Institute of the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine holds mindfulness-based stress reduction classes to teach people how to cope with their stress.
Students learn simple meditation practices that can help them deal with stress, medical problems or even with breaking bad habits. In a 6 ABC interview, instructor Diane Reibel says, "All of these practices ultimately help you to see what's in your own inner landscape, and gives you the opportunity to make some changes."
