Philadelphia Tribune and Trenton Times Interview Dr. Tichansky About Bariatric Surgery

Thirty-seven-year-old Trenton resident Georgette Brown had been struggling with her weight since childhood. So, in October of 2010, Georgette turned to Jefferson's Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Program, where she underwent gastric bypass surgery. Since her surgery, Georgette has lost more than 100 pounds and has made many lifestyle changes including regular exercise and a healthy diet.

In a Philadelphia Tribune interview, Dr. David Tichansky, director of the Program, talks about Georgette's success. He says, "She's done really well, but I can't take credit for her results. I can take credit for getting her safely though the surgery. She's done all the right things in terms of really focusing on what she's eating, exercising, and following the plan to get the best possible outcome. Her experience has been exemplary."
