Dr. George Brainard on WHYY Radio Times About Seasonal Affective Disorder
Dr. George Brainard talked to WHYY Radio Times With Marty Moss-Coane about people having seasonal affective disorder in the summer.
Seasonal affective disorder affects about 1 to 2 percent of Americans, and it doesn't just happen during the winter months, according to the interview.
"They may be doing fine during the fall and winter months, but somewhere during the spring and summer, they go through a profound annual mood change, and it's a serious one," said Dr. Brainard, director of Jefferson's Light Research Program.
