Jefferson Family Medicine Associates is the largest single-site primary care practice in the country, serving a diverse community of patients. Richard Wender, MD, chairman of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Jefferson, said, "While the staff tries to treat everyone equally, the diversity is challenging. It poses a huge number of barriers."
