Dr. Vaccaro Discusses New Finds About Elephant Man in NBC 10 Segment
On July 21, 2011, Dr. Alex Vaccaro appeared on NBC 10 to talk about his work dissecting the life and death of the "Elephant Man."
Dr. Vaccaro, an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the spine at Jefferson, examined the cadaver of the Elephant Man and used computer simulators to recreate his body and shape. It took a high-power computer months to figure out how a man like that got around, he explained.
