Jefferson Allergist Talks to KYW Newsradio About Post-Hurricane Mold

Flooding from the recent hurricanes, Lee and Irene, may have left behind mold in area houses. Mold can grow within 24 hours if water is present from flooding.

In a KYW Newsradio interview, Dr. John Cohn says that mold can trigger allergies or in rare cases, other illnesses, but common sense measures can prevent problems. Experts suggest drying out problem areas as quickly as possible with fans or dehumidifiers.
