Mary Pollice Talks to WHYY Radio About Getting the Flu Shot This Year

In the wake of flu season, CDC officials recommend universal vaccination for just about everyone over six months old.

Mary Pollice, nurse practitioner in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Jefferson, says in a WHYY Radio interview, "There are a lot of people that do still die from influenza. The more people that get vaccinated the less flu deaths there will be."

Mary stresses the greater good when encouraging patients to get the vaccine.
