Jefferson Hospital's New Automated Lab Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Highlighted on KYW Newsradio
Jefferson is the first hospital in the region to adopt an automated blood testing lab that includes a storage-and-retrieval system. This new technology will have a significant impact on lab productivity and efficiency and will help to ensure patient safety.
Jefferson recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new state-of-the-art laboratory. Dr. Stephen Peiper, chair of the Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology, said in a KYW Newsradio interview, “This is the second installation of this type of system in North America. For the clinician, the most important thing is getting the right result in a rapid way."
