Impedance Manometry at Jefferson
Impedance manometry is one of the newest tests available to assess esophageal function. It can measure both acid and non-acid reflux events. The Jefferson Voice and Swallowing Center works closely with our Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology to perform this test for evaluation of a swallowing difficulty.
The Center, a joint program with the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and housed within the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, provides comprehensive state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment of disorders affecting the voice and swallowing.
