Share Your 'I Can' Story About Overcoming Cancer

Dr. Gomella in surgery

Cancer is an often devastating disease. But in the midst of each person’s struggles to overcome cancer emerge powerful and inspiring stories.

Stories such as 45-year-old Jackie’s confrontation with breast cancer, 22-year-old Rob Long’s efforts to kick brain cancer and 50-year-old John’s clash with prostate cancer have helped others. So can yours.

If you’ve faced cancer with Jefferson’s team of specialists, we want to hear your story.

Vivian L. shared her story of overcoming bladder cancer with us. In her own words, she says that the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson's “interdisciplinary team of medical personnel who not only used their expertise to help me through surgery, radiation and chemo, but were also able to offer emotional support for me and my family.”

Now Vivian says, “I can lead a full life after a cancer diagnosis.”
