The physicians and staff of the Jefferson Pain Center are prepared to help with the anesthesiological, medical and psychological
aspects of pain management in a caring and supportive environment. The clinical staff is composed of pain management trained
anesthesiologists, psychologist and nurses. Services are provided on the main campus and the Ford Road Campus of the Thomas
Jefferson University with the latest advances in both technological and psychological aspects of health care available to
our patients.
Our goals are to achieve the highest possible level of functionality for all patients and to keep patients and those who accompany
them informed and knowledgeable about the conditions and treatments which affect them.
The Jefferson Pain Center provides a comprehensive, pain focused evaluation of the chronic pain patient. Patients are seen
by physician referral only. Most therapy is performed in an outpatient setting. The pain medicine specialist assesses the
patient and makes recommendations regarding diagnosis, testing, referrals and treatment. Once a plateau of improvement has
been attained, care will be transferred back to the primary care physician. Those patients with significant psychiatric and
psychological dysfunction will be evaluated by our behaviorial medicine pain specialist.
