Cheryl Marco Nominated by Participants in Weight-Loss Program
Cheryl Marco RD, LDN, CDE, director of Education for the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases of the Department of Medicine for Jefferson University Physicians, was honored with the Inspire Award from OPTIFAST®, a weight-loss program offered at Jefferson.
Cheryl was nominated by participants in the OPTIFAST Program. Cheryl has executed a style that is incomparable when compared to other medically managed weight-loss programs. Many of the participants have been following and participating in the maintenance phase of OPTIFAST, hugely due in part to Cheryl Marco, for more than 10 years.
The Inspire Award recognizes healthcare practitioners for their dedication and passion to helping patients lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Cheryl's expertise includes many different areas all related to nutritional health, but she specializes in diabetic education and medically managed weight-loss programs. She specifically manages both educationally and nutritionally the weight-loss program OPTIFAST. This Program utilizes behavioral modification and emotional support, combined with extensive and specific nutritional education provided in a non-pressure, relaxing environment.
The combination of utilizing all of these measures has created a means of success for many individuals who have felt lost and hopeless in the past after trying many other forms of weight-loss programs.
