Among the Best Regional Hospitals for 2010-2011
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is the No. 2 hospital in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, according to a new ranking system developed by U.S.News & World Report.
The magazine's first-ever list by metropolitan area rates just 25 of the 91 hospitals in the Philadelphia area as "top-ranking." The Philadelphia metro area rankings include hospitals in Camden, New Jersey, and Wilmington, Delaware.
Jefferson is top ranked nationally in eight adult specialties:
- Cancer
- Ear, Nose & Throat
- Gastroenterology
- Geriatrics
- Gynecology
- Orthopedics
- Pulmonology
- Rehabilitation
We are also high-performing in six adult specialties:
- Diabetes & Endocrinology
- Heart & Heart Surgery

- Neurology & Neurosurgery
- Rheumatology
