The program can help people who are wondering whether they may be at higher risk for an inherited cancer.
Our goal is to help you understand what it means to be at average risk, higher than average risk, or have an inherited risk
for cancer. The Hereditary Cancer Program at Jefferson is here to help you make informed decisions about your cancer risk.
Call 1-800-JEFF-NOW if you would like to:
Make an appointment with the Hereditary Cancer Program at Jefferson.
Have a Hereditary Cancer Program staff member ask you about your family members who have had cancer. A genetic counselor will
contact you to discuss your cancer risk based on the information that you provide.
Receive a family history questionnaire to complete and return to the Hereditary Cancer Program at Jefferson. After it has
been reviewed, a genetic counselor will contact you to discuss your family history and cancer risk.
Learn about upcoming educational talks on: hereditary breast and ovarian cancer; the Breast Cancer Prevention Trial; and hereditary
colon and rectal cancer.
