Broadly speaking, liver cancers can be classified as one of two types:

• Primary liver cancers, which include hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), cholangiocarcinoma (or CCC, which is bile duct cancer) and gallbladder cancer
• Metastatic tumors to the liver, which include metastatic colon/rectal cancer, uveal melanoma metastases, neuroendocrine cancer and other metastatic tumors

The Liver Tumor Program specialists at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital are dedicated to treating both types of liver cancer and have a deep understanding of hepatitis, cirrhosis and other chronic liver conditions linked to liver cancer.
