Survivors Conference: “Life After a Cancer Diagnosis”
Today, millions of people are living with cancer or have had cancer. Once a cancer diagnosis is made, life is forever changed for the patient and their loved ones. The Kimmel Cancer Center is pleased to offer an annual survivorship conference for patient and family members called “Life After a Cancer Diagnosis.” The conference is attended by over a hundred people and addresses topics which include the side effects of cancer treatment and psychosocial issues. Kimmel Cancer Center physicians, nurses, and social workers lead interactive workshops and encourage questions and personal sharing from attendees. Structured to include a keynote speaker, dinner and breakout sessions, this weeknight event helps cancer patients and their families find support, education and networking opportunities.
