Collaborating with cardiologists, surgeons in Jefferson’s Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery conduct an array of complex cardiac operations, including removal of aneurysms, valve replacements and various kinds of myocardial vascularization.

The Division has also distinguished itself in the areas of scientific research and as a training program for cardiothoracic surgery.
