Anthony J. Bazzan, MD, Integrative Cancer Care/Geriatric Medicine
Dr. Bazzan is a leading physician in Integrative Medicine with over 20 years of clinical experience. He is Co-Director of
the Great Life Program at the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University and Hospital. Dr. Bazzan is an
expert on aging, particularly the effects of diminished circulating hormones on health and wellness. In his practice at the
Center, he offers a highly evolved program for the treatment of many chronic diseases in addition to such health issues as
menopause, andropause (low testosterone levels in men), and osteoporosis, integrating nutritional therapies, lifestyle, and
bio-equivalent hormone replacement therapy. He is co-author of The Great Life Makeover: a couple’s guide to weight, mood, and sex, published by Harper-Collins.
Dr. Bazzan is originally from Verona Italy, and he received his medical degree from the University of Padua School of Medicine,
Italy. After graduation, he trained in cardiothoracic surgery in Italy and then came to the United States to complete a residency
in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Geriatric
Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Bazzan has completed numerous trainings and certifications
in the field of Integrative Medicine, and has been the recipient of several awards in the field. Dr. Bazzan is board certified
in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, and is Instructor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College and Thomas Jefferson
University. Besides actively working with patients who seek integrative cancer care, he is a faculty member of the Jefferson
Kimmel Cancer Center where he assists with research protocols to improve quality of life in cancer patients.
