Daniel A. Monti, MD, Executive and Medical Director
Dr. Monti is Director of the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University and Hospital. He
has expertise in several areas of integrative medicine, particularly mind-body medicine and integrative oncology. He has
dozens of scholarly publications and presentations in these areas, and he has served as a peer reviewer for numerous medical
journals. Dr. Monti currently is the recipient of a research grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/ National
Cancer Institute (NCI) to study the effects of a novel psychosocial intervention developed by his research team. Dr. Monti
is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Jefferson Medical
College and Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Monti graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Psychiatry and a
research scholars program at Jefferson Medical College. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology,
and since 1999 he has served as an examiner for the oral board examination for Psychiatry. Dr. Monti is a full member of
Jefferson’s Kimmel Cancer Center, where he assists the faculty and staff in developing quality of life programs and research
protocols.
