We invite you to be a part of Jefferson Hospital’s Three-Mile Walk to benefit its Intensive Care Nursery and Well Baby Units.

Place: Eakins Oval
23rd Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art
Through the generous donations of Big Walk parents, friends and Jefferson employees the past few years, BIG changes have happened
to Jefferson’s Intensive Care Nursery rooms – all patient rooms are newly renovated, including the parents lounge area. Funds
raised this year will go to support a parents overnight guest room.

Jefferson’s Big Walk is a family event, and all children in strollers are free. Join us for drinks and snacks after the walk
in the Big Walk Tent, featuring face painting, a special appearance by the Phillie Phanatic, family photos and much more!
Three Options to Register for the Big Walk for little feet
1. Online at www.runphilly.com
If you register online, pick up your t-shirt(s) at the Runners’ Expo on Friday, September 15 or Saturday, September 16 at
the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 12th and Arch Streets, or at the Big Walk Tent at Eakins Oval (23rd Street and the Benjamin
Franklin Parkway) on Sunday morning, walk day.
2. Through a Team Captain
Submit your registration form(s) and payment(s) directly to your Team Captain no later than September 15, 2006. He/she will
deliver your t-shirts.
3. Mail
Please mail completed forms and walk fee(s) no later than September 15, 2006 to:

Each year we ask our Big Walk families and Jefferson employees to raise funds for the Big Walk by working with their communities,
churches and schools to reach out for donations. Your donations are 100% tax deductible. All donors will receive a tax receipt
if their contact information is provided below and requested.

The Big Walk Tribute Yearbook and Introducing the Big Walk Donor Wall
Last year, the Big Walk Tribute Yearbook helped to begin a tradition of remembering our most fragile patients. Along with
supporting Jefferson’s Intensive Care Nursery, your donor gift told the story of your special baby and gave hope to the hundreds
of families whose infants are cared for at Jefferson each year.
This year your sponsorship gift includes another way of remembering your special child – a Big Walk Footprint designed with
your child’s name and walk date to be placed on the wall in our parents lounge. The Tribute Yearbook is published in the Fall
and mailed to all sponsors and friends of Jefferson’s Big Walk. You are invited to visit our newly renovated Intensive Care
Nursery and see the Big Walk Donor Wall any time you find yourself in the Jefferson Hospital area.
Three-Mile Walk Course
Walkers start and finish at Eakins Oval at 23rd Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway – in front of Philadelphia Museum
of Art. See walk course map for details. All walkers will be awarded an official Big Walk medallion at the walk finish line.
The Big Walk Tent
Join the physicians and staff of Jefferson Hospital’s Division of Neonatology and meet other parents, friends and children.
The Big Walk Tent is located in Eakins Oval area close to the walk start line. Enjoy a snack, beverage and post walk entertainment!
