Gyms are such an uncomfortable place for me to be at my body weight – they really seem to cater to the young, fit person. How should I get my exercise?

A good place to start is walking. You could also consider videos (most libraries have exercise videos) or Wii. Even 5 to 10 minutes of moving your body can make a difference when you are starting out.
