After weight-loss surgery are there limitations on what a patient can do? How long does that last?

For the first 4 weeks after surgery, you are restricted from lifting anything more than 20 pounds, bending, and twisting.  After that initial period to allow your incisions to heal there really are no restrictions and physical activity is encouraged.
