About the Blood Donor Center

Blood donation

The Blood Donor Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals collects blood from volunteer, autologous and directed donors. All products collected are tested according to FDA recommendations to ensure their safety. The Center uses the most stringent procedures to assure the safety of its donors and of the blood that it supplies to Jefferson's Transfusion Unit.

Donating is convenient, safe and quick. All needles are disposable, sterile and used only once. If you, a friend or a relative would like to donate blood, please call 215-955-7791.

The Blood Donor Center is located at:
Gibbon Building
Suite 8230
111 South 11th St.
Philadelphia, PA 19107

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
