Health Services
Chinese Health Information Line
Our designated Health Line, 215-955-8282, is answered in both Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese dialects) and English. The staff on duty provides health information, makes medical appointments and referrals, provides interpretation over the phone and registers clients for childbirth and parenting classes. The Health Line is available weekdays fromĀ 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Interpretation Services
Interpretation services are available for hospitalized patients and community members who use Jefferson services. Interpretation can be done via telephone or in person on an appointment basis. For more information, please call the Health Line at 215-955-8282.
Vaccination for Children
The Jefferson Chinatown Vaccination Program (JCVP) began in January 1997 when Jefferson Hospital collaborated with Chinatown Medical Services (CMS) to provide free childhood immunizations. Under this Program, CMS provides free vaccines for Chinese patients less than 18 years of age. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact CMS at 215-627-8000.
Chinese Health Library
The Center maintains a library with health-related Chinese books, journals, brochures and videos that are available for loan to the community. These resources address a variety of healthcare topics. Some health education materials are also available for purchase through the Center.
