Physicians of Jefferson's Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose and throat, and head and neck disorders. Our physicians are trained in such subspecialty areas as otology, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, allergy and head and neck surgery. We are backed by state-of-the-art equipment and treat a variety of conditions including:
- Allergies
- Sinusitis
- Balance disorders such as Meniere's disease
- Thyroid problems including thyroid cancer
- Cancers that affect the upper digestive tract, head, neck and face
- Hearing loss
Our physicians serve a large and varied patient community, including children, for whom we perform a large volume of tonsillectomies and ear tube placements. If your child requires surgery, you can be assured that an anesthesia team experienced in pediatrics supports our surgeons. We also work in close association with the pediatric specialists at the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, a Jefferson Health System affiliate.
Members of our medical staff have played a key role in helping advance many of the techniques and tools used today in the treatment of disorders that affect the ears, nose and throat and participate in leading-edge, multidisciplinary care. In addition, our staff works together with the physicians and researchers of the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson, a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated clinical cancer center for excellence in cancer care and research.
