Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology
The Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Jefferson provides diagnosis and treatment of all types of skin disorders in adults as well as children.
Specially trained physicians utilize advanced conventional, Mohs and laser surgical techniques to provide patients with the most flexible options for effective treatment of a wide range of skin conditions and for the removal of skin lesions.
Caring for Pediatric Patients with Dermatologic Conditions
The Jefferson Pediatric Dermatology Center offers comprehensive care for both routine and uncommon conditions of the skin, hair and nails in children. Children from birth through adolescence can seek care for both acquired and genetic conditions.
We are proud to function as one of only two academic pediatric dermatology centers in the city of Philadelphia and enjoy referrals from across the tri-state area.
Outpatient services are provided at our Center City Campus and at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Delaware.
Dermatology Research and Education
In addition to patient care, the Department's world-class research programs facilitate clinical studies, investigate advances in dermatologic therapies and engage in studies of genetic skin diseases, connective-tissue disorders and skin cancers.
