Hematologists in Jefferson's Division of Hematology are devoted to research into the causes of a wide variety of diseases of the blood and to the diagnosis and care of patients with blood and lymphatic diseases. Our physicians have competence in all areas of hematology, with particularly well-recognized depth and experience in diseases affecting blood platelets, hemorrhagic (bleeding) and thrombotic (clotting) disorders, hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma) and other bone marrow disorders. Our physicians are available on a 24-hour basis.

In addition, our physicians have initiated and participated in a number of clinical trials of newer types of therapy for many of these disorders.
