The medical staff in Jefferson's Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery provides advanced treatments for patients with arterial and venous disorders through open surgical repair and minimally invasive endovascular techniques, including varicosity excisions, sclerotherapy and minimally invasive treatment for venous reflux. Our reputation for treating the most complex aorta disorders attracts referrals and emergency transfers from throughout the Northeast. Ongoing clinical trials place Jefferson among the first hospitals in the U.S. to treat patients with the most advanced procedures and technologies.

Working with the staff at the Jefferson Aorta Center, our vascular surgeons treat all types of aortic aneurysms through surgical and endovascular repair. We also perform stenting procedures of renal and visceral vessels. In collaboration with Jefferson neurologists, the Division's vascular surgeons have established an advanced cerebrovascular reconstruction program that encompasses traditional surgery and carotid stenting.
