About the Herbert Kean Center for Facial Aesthetics
Jefferson is one of the few academic medical centers in the country with a Center devoted solely to plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck. Physicians of Jefferson's Herbert Kean Center for Facial Aesthetics provide medical and dental evaluation, counseling and management for problems of appearance, injury and tumors.
The Center is also one of the premier destinations for cosmetic procedures including face-lifts, eyelid-lifts, rhinoplasty, Botox®, dermabrasion, scar revisions and chemical peels as well as many other procedures. The Center physicians are double board certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastics, bringing a level of expertise that is not typically found outside of medical centers like Jefferson.
Jefferson head and neck surgeons provide a complete range of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery services, collaborating often with colleagues from oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as with our associates in the Oculoplastics Service at the world-renowned Wills Eye Institute. A team approach is necessary to assist patients who have certain congenital deformities or those who may have experienced a facial trauma resulting from an accident or injury.
We are also on call for Jefferson's Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center to respond when emergencies arise involving patients with facial injuries.
