About the Fibroid Center
While fibroid tumors are almost never cancerous, they can cause painful symptoms and in some cases interfere with conceiving a child. If you are diagnosed with this condition, turn to the Jefferson Fibroid Center. Our Center is the first and only multidisciplinary center dedicated to the treatment of uterine fibroids.
You will have access to a team of physicians and nurses who can help relieve your symptoms. If pregnancy is an issue, we can also help you achieve the outcome you want.
Treatments for symptomatic fibroids include:
- Expectant management (no treatment needed)
- Medical treatment
- Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE)
- Myomectomy
- Hysteroscopic myomectomy
- Laparoscopic myomectomy
- Vaginal hysterectomy
- Abdominal hysterectomy
- Endometrial ablation
