Stephen Silberstein, MD, Jefferson Headache Center

For any type of headache you may be experiencing, our team of registered nurses, headache fellows, neurologists and psychologists or psychiatrists at the Jefferson Headache Center specialize in treating patients with all types of head pain, providing primary, secondary and tertiary care.

The Jefferson Headache Center is a premier academic headache center, and one of only 11 programs that have been approved for accreditation to train fellows in the subspecialty of Headache Medicine. We evaluate approximately 1,200 new patients from all over the U.S. and around the world, and perform approximately 11,000 follow-up office visits annually.

In addition, Jefferson headache specialists are recognized nationally and internationally as major innovators in the field of headache, and have collectively authored or co-authored more than 450 articles in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to major texts in neurology and other specialties and taught and lectured widely in the U.S. and globally.
