My brother has prostate cancer and I was reading that acupuncture can be helpful. How does this work and benefit someone like my brother?

Acupuncture with cancer patients may be especially helpful with treatment-related side effects and cancer-related pain. In addition, acupuncture patients in general report an improved sense of well-being from the treatment. However, at the Myrna Brind Center, we do not recommend a particular therapy until one of our expert physicians has done a comprehensive evaluation and constructed a treatment plan that is tailored to the unique needs of the patient.
