My wife is interested in getting hormone replacement therapy, but I am worried about the possible side effects. What are the typical side effects from these treatments for women?

Because we tailor our doses based on blood tests, the patient's history, and what each person is seeing to achieve there aren't “typical” side effects.

Some women getting bio-identical hormone replacement therapy can experience be some transitory breast tenderness, facial hair growth, acne, or hair thinning. Sometimes patients experience vaginal bleeding. And some women will experience slight weight gain in beginning of their treatment, which then goes away.
