What are Vitamin C infusions and how does this treatment benefit patients who are receiving chemotherapy?
Academic Title: Associate Professor
The Myrna Brind Center is conducting two exciting clinical trials to study the effects of high dose vitamin C infusions in cancer patients.
The first is for patients with Pancreatic Cancer who also are receiving standard chemotherapy to see if the Vitamin C gives them an edge, as it appears to in the pre-clinical studies done so far. The second is for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) patients who have failed usual oncological therapies. Both of these trials are done in collaboration with the Jefferson Kimmel Cancer Center, and they are the only ones like them in the country.
