About the Department of Patient Services
The Department of Patient Services is committed to creating and delivering a consistent level of excellent service for patients, families, visitors and staff by providing timely and effective information and resolution of problems as well as being a universal resource of information.
The Department is a member of the National and State Societies of Healthcare Consumer Advocacy (SHCA), an organization founded in 1972 comprised of professionals joined together to promote and ensure patient satisfaction in the provision of health care.
The following services are available to Jefferson patients and are coordinated through the Department of Patient Services:
- Interpreter services (foreign language and sign language)
- Auxiliary aids for the deaf and hearing impaired
- Hotel and housing accommodations
- The safekeeping of patients' belongings and valuables
- Notary services
- Hair care
- Wig program
