There are many reasons why people volunteer their time, such as staying busy, learning a new skill and giving back to the community. At Jefferson, we have many programs and areas that accept volunteers, including the Surgical Waiting Area, Radiology, Emergency Department, Gift Shop and Knitting Program.
You can join the Jefferson team and share your warmth and talents in many ways. While you volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Learn new skills
- Meet new friends
- Explore careers in healthcare fields
- Enjoy a sense of personal satisfaction
For each 4-hour shift, you will receive a voucher towards the purchase of a meal in our Atrium cafeteria, a Hospital pharmacy discount and an invitation to attend periodic lectures and special events.
Expect a 6- to 8-week process before becoming a volunteer at Jefferson.
