This state-of-the-art laser center, located in Center City Philadelphia, houses six of the most advanced lasers for treating
spider veins, vascular birth marks, tattoos, age spots, wrinkles, and other signs of photoaging. The Center has one of the
nation’s first Candela Sclerolasers for the treatment of spider veins, as well as a new laser representing the most advanced
technology for hair removal.
The new, specially designed Coherent LightSheer™ Diode Laser effectively removes unwanted excess hair much faster, more reliably,
and more comfortably than standard long-term methods such as electrolysis and electrothermolysis. The Coherent LightSheer™
Diode Laser removes unwanted dark body hair on any skin tone or type. The laser’s beam gently removes hair from a woman’s
face or bikini area and the coarser hair on a man’s face, back, or arms in only seconds. The beam vaporizes the hair follicle
pigment and as a result destroys or significantly impedes the hair’s ability to re-grow. The laser is designed to cool on
contact with the skin to minimize irritation and speed recovery time.
It can take at least three sessions to see final results and visits should be scheduled at six-week intervals. Patients will
be scheduled with a physician for an office visit consisting of either an initial consultation or a consultation with a test
site. The "laser consultation only" and "laser consultation with test site" fees are $125 and $145 respectively. All patients
who have a consultation or consultation with test site visit related to hair removal may apply the cost of these visits to
the cost of a hair removal package. Treatments are classified by anatomical site, i.e., face, chin, jawline, cheeks, neck,
underarms, bikini, extended bikini; or by time, i.e., 15, 30, or 60 minute sessions. The fee schedule for hair removal laser
treatment packages ranges from $250 – $800.
All fees are payable at the time of service. Multi-treatment packages must be paid in full at the time of the first treatment.
Fees indicated are guidelines only and individual fees may vary depending on the complexity of treatment rendered or the size
of the area treated. Fees also are subject to change without notice.
Other cosmetic services available include chemical peels (including glycolic acid), sclerotherapy for leg veins, scar revision,
collagen injection and soft form implants, tumescent liposuction, and medical and surgical approaches to hair loss in both
men and women. The Center combines the latest in advances in laser and cosmetic dermatologic surgery with the safety and excellence
expected from a leading academic medical center.
